In the process of
life-long catechesis, Bible Studies are an ongoing,
continuous occurrence. The continuance of our Christian
faith calls each to learn more of why we believe what we
read and hear of Holy Scripture. Bible studies are available
for both men and women or combined throughout the year. For
more information please consult the weekly bulletin or call
the parish office at (352)394-3562
MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY: This is a two year sequence during
which the Bible will be read, starting with Genesis and
ending in Revelations. Bible writers will be discussed, as
will the geo-political events that were happening during the
time
when most books of the Bible were probably written. The
sessions are monthly to provide sufficient time to read the
material to be discussed and the only required book is an
approved Catholic translation of the Bible, such as: Good
News Bible,
The Miriam Bible, The Jerusalem Bible, which are just a few
of the translations
that are used. These various translations provide insight
into the process of
getting accurate wording in the English language from the
original Hebrew,
Yiddish, Aramaic, Greek and Latin languages. Additional
suggested reference material is a copy of the Catechism of
the Catholic Church. Please call Mike Hudzik at 321-256-1260
for more information.
