EMMAUS WOMEN

The Emmaus Women of Blessed Sacrament is an organization of Catholic Christian Women committed to encouraging a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ; pursuing spiritual, mental, and emotional growth and healing; and spreading this love and healing with our families, Blessed Sacrament Parish, and Community through our daily example; various ministries within our Parish; Bible studies; Retreats; and community outreach.

Our main focus is to invite other women to join us in a deeper love of Jesus Christ by facilitating a yearly Women’s Retreat titled "The Emmaus Walk." We focus on the Scripture Jesus gave us in Mark 12:28-31: "They asked Jesus, Which commandment is the first of all? Jesus answered, ‘the first is: Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."

In order to continue our Emmaus Walk and Spiritual growth, the Emmaus Women have met for Scripture Studies and have the option of attending an annual overnight retreat known as the PJ Retreat.

The Lord calls each of us to come closer to Him as we read in Revelations 3:20, "Listen, I am standing at the door, and knocking; if you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with Me."

We also meet several times a year for social and family events. Currently, we have over 195 Emmaus Women members.
