CENTERING PRAYER
"Be still and know that I am God" (Ps 46:10)
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that
prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative
prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence
within us. Based in the Christian tradition and on
teachings from the 14th-century text The Cloud of
Unknowing, John of the Cross, Thomas Merton, and
others. Centering Prayer is a powerful method that has
sparked the modern renewal of contemplative
Christianity. Call Gail for information at
(352)394-4352.
DIVINE MERCY
A universal feast of the church. At Mass, receive the
promise Jesus gave to St. Faustina for those who
receive Holy Communion on this day. "The soul that
will go to confession (during Lent) and receive Holy
Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sin and
punishment." (Diary 699)
The Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy Cenacle
Prayer Circle study the messages and promises given to
St. Faustina by Jesus. This Prayer Circle meets
Saturdays in the Adoration Chapel at 9:00 am.
The Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle Prayer Circle
meets Thursdays 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in a private home.
In this Cenacle we study the messages given to Fr.
Gobbi by Mary to guide us through these troubled
times. Cenacle prayers and acts of mercy are stressed.
